Shepherd’s Cottage is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists as Kingston village is on the route of the Elham Valley Way providing long and short walks through ancient woodland, secret byways and unspoilt villages. The cottage is along a quiet single-track lane. Shepherd’s Cottage was formerly the village post office and lies in front of the owners’ home. A (little used) red telephone kiosk and post box are located beside the cottage – a lasting reminder of its former role.
