Gli Ulivi is one of three apartments in a rustic, 18th century house. The house is surrounded by fields, lawns, olive, oak and fruit trees. There is a small vegetable garden. The apartment is built using traditional materials, including brick tiles and wooden beams. The wood and cast iron furniture create a rustic, charming atmosphere. Gli Ulivi is three kilometres from the town of Abbateggio, a typical hamlet in the Majello National Park in Abuzzen. Abbateggio is at an altitude of 450 metres. It enjoys a panoramic view from the Gran Sasso to the Adriatic Sea. At 2912 metres, the Gran Sasso is the highest mountain outside the Alps. The region is sparsely populated and is made up of extensive highlands.
