The ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage Site while other ancient ruins such as the Castle are reminders of the city's history, heritage and culture. You will find everything you need for the perfect place to base your Canterbury break here - even a large communal garden to relax in after a full days sight seeing. So - you can enjoy a great central location with none of the traffic noise!! Should you tire of all that this great city has to offer a short drive will take you to the ever popular town of Whitstable famous for its oysters or for that real traditional seaside experience there is Herne Bay - complete with candyfloss, ice cream parlours, cafes, friendly pubs and fish and chip bars.
